Details of the Kane County Jail
The Kane County Jail is part of the Kane County Public Safety Complex, located at 971 East Kaneplex Drive in Kanab. Posting Bond
Bond may be posted in person at the jail, but only cash is accepted (no credit or debit cards, cashier’s checks, money orders or personal checks). When posting bond, you must present a valid government-issued photo ID.Bond may also be posted through a reputable bail bonding company.

Letters should be sent in plain envelopes which are free of decoration, stickers, lipstick marks, etc. A full and complete return address must be listed on the outside of the envelope.Letters should be addressed to the inmate, using their full name and inmate ID number, and sent to:

No religious items, food, medicine, greeting cards, pens, pencils, markers, newspapers, envelopes, stamps, stickers, packages or cash will be accepted.
Visiting an Inmate
Visitation is conducted by video from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.In order to use the video visitation system, you must be pre-approved to visit and you must be added to the inmate’s visitor list.
To register for video visitation, visit the jail’s Web site at http://kane.utah.gov/att/38/store/m3_2012-visiting.pdf and fill out the registration form. You will receive an email with further instructions after you complete the online registration.
Inmate Phone System
Inmates have access to telephones in their housing areas, but may not receive incoming phone calls.Family and friends may set up an account in order to be able to receive calls from the jail. Advance Pay accounts are set up by the individual receiving the calls. To set up an Advance Pay account, the individual should call Securus at 1-800-844-6591 for instructions, or visit http://www.securustech.net/.
Once an account is set up, the inmate may dial the phone numbers specified on the account, and the recipient must then accept the call by following the system’s automated instructions. The cost of the call is then deducted from the account balance.
Phone calls may last up to 15 minutes each. Any attempt to transfer, forward or conference the call will disconnect the call.
